Welcome to Angels Foster Family Network! My name is Ruby Martin, and I’m the Program Director here. I’m so excited to share a little about what makes Angels so special.
Angels was founded in 1998, and since placing our very first child, we’ve served 1,250 infants and toddlers. At Angels, our approach is unique. We place one child –or siblings – with each Resource Family, ensuring every child receives the personalized care and stability they need until they return to their family or are placed for adoption.
Our outstanding clinical team is dedicated to supporting our Resource Families every step of the way. From weekly meetings to being on-call, they are here to ensure no one navigates this journey alone.
In addition to recruiting and approving more Resource Families to foster, we’re thrilled to announce our newest initiative: Angels’ Caregiver Program. Launching in early 2025, this program will provide support to relatives who are caring for young children removed from their homes but not placed in traditional foster care.
Through this program, our social workers will extend their support to these families with personalized plans and resources to help them feel empowered and equipped to provide safe, nurturing care.
We are very excited to launch this new Caregiver Program. However, there is currently no federal or state funding available for it, which means we will rely heavily on philanthropic support from our community.
This holiday season, I hope you’ll consider making a gift to help us continue our vital work and bring this program to life.
We look forward to sharing more about this critical program in the coming months. Thank you for being part of our community and for supporting the children and families we serve.
With gratitude,
Ruby Martin
