b'2024FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTORDear Friends,In 2024, Angels continued to provide trauma-informed, attachment-focused support to young children in foster care. However, we also observed a growing statewide and countywide shift toward placing children with relatives whenever safely possible, rather than in traditional foster care. To support this transition, we laid the groundwork for our Angels Kinship Program, launching in 2025 to provide specialized services for relatives caring for children outside the traditional foster care system. While 2024 brought many successes, it also presented financial challenges driven by statewide reductions in foster care funding. In response, Angels acted decisively to strengthen our financial foundation, implementing cost-saving measures, expanding fundraising efforts, and preparing to launch new revenue-generating initiatives in 2025. These include a partnership with the County of San Diego to support kinship caregivers and participation in Medi-Cals Enhanced Care Management (ECM) program through Full Circle Health. We are also pursuing licensure for non-custodial adoptions and approval as a Treatment and Evaluation Resource Management (TERM) providersteps that will diversify funding and expand our impact.Through every challenge, our mission endures: to ensure every child knows stability, care, and love. With your continued support, we will strengthen families, expand our reach, and help children thrive. Thank you for believing in the power of family, connection, and hope as we transform lives together.Warmly,Jeff WiemannExecutive DirectorFormer Resource Parent2'
